Return & Refund Policy

We want you to love your purchase! If something’s not quite right, we’re here to help. Please read our full return policy below before initiating a return.

Eligibility for Returns

  • Returns must be received within 60 days of the purchase date.
  • Items must be in new, unworn condition, with original tags still attached.
  • Returns must be free of makeup, pet hair, odors, or visible signs of wear.
  • Returned items must be in their original, unaltered condition. This means no reshaping, cutting, stretching, or other modifications. Items that have been altered cannot be accepted for return.
  • Final Sale items are not eligible for return (any item marked 25% off or more).
  • If you receive an item that is damaged or differs from what you ordered, please contact customer service immediately.

How to Start a Return

After completing the return request through the portal, you'll receive a return label and instructions. Note: If you’re accessing the return portal from a mobile device, you may be unable to print your return label. For the best experience, we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer when creating and printing your label.

Return Label Fees

  • $9.95 per label
    • If you choose store credit, the return label fee is waived.

Restocking Fees

  • Orders of 4 or more hats that result in half or more of the items being returned will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. (Example: If you order 4 hats and return 2 or more, the restocking fee will apply.)
  • Returns received after 60 days will incur a 20% restocking fee.
  • Returns received after 90 days will not be accepted.

Refund Timeline

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 2–4 business days of receiving and inspecting your return.

If we find any issues with your return (such as signs of use, missing tags, or late postmark), processing may take longer.

Exchanges

We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you need a different size or style, please place a new order and return the original item for a refund.

International Returns

We do not offer return labels for international orders. Customers outside the U.S. are responsible for return shipping and any associated fees.

Returns can be mailed to the address provided via email when your return is approved. Please include your name and order number inside the package.

Final Sale, Clearance, and Late Returns

  • Final Sale and clearance items are not eligible for return.
  • Items marked 25% off or more are considered Final Sale.
  • Returns received after 60 days will incur a 20% restocking fee.
  • Returns received after 90 days will not be accepted.

Shipping Costs & Non-Refundable Charges

  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • If your order qualified for free shipping, that amount will be deducted from your refund.
  • The Willow Lane Shipping Warranty fee is non-refundable.

Custom Hat Boxes

Custom hat boxes are considered part of the merchandise and must be returned in an exterior protective shipping box. If a custom box is returned without protection or arrives damaged, your refund may be reduced accordingly.

Choosing Store Credit

  • If you choose store credit, the return label fee is waived.
  • Be sure to indicate this preference on the return form included in your box.

Was Your Order a Gift?

If you received a hat as a gift and would like to exchange it for store credit, please clearly indicate this somewhere in your return. Be sure to include the email address where you'd like the store credit sent.
